Time Shift

Time Shift and Catchup allow you to watch live TV on your terms. Pause, rewind, or jump back to a program that aired earlier in the day.

When watching a channel that supports Time Shift, you’ll see a scrubber in the Now Playing bar.

Pause & Resume

Pause live streams and resume when ready.

Rewind & Fast Forward

Seamlessly navigate within the buffered stream.

Enhance your Time Shift experience with local caching for smoother playback and reduced latency.

Enable and customize the cache settings through the following path:

Settings Path : Navigate to Settings → Cache

Cache Activation : Toggle the cache feature to enable RAM-based buffering of your currently active channel

Cache Size Allocation : Specify the amount of system memory (RAM) dedicated to the cache buffer. The cache automatically resets upon each channel change to optimize memory utilization.

Go Live Buffer : Configure a safety buffer for the Go Live button functionality. When enabled, this setting pre-buffers content ahead of the live stream position by your specified duration (in seconds). This prevents playback stalls when attempting to return to live broadcast during network fluctuations or when the buffer is too close to the current stream position.

Many providers offer Catchup support, allowing you to watch programs that have already finished.

Access Catchup content through the Electronic Program Guide:

  1. Navigate to the EPG Guide.
  2. Look for the Catchup icon next to channel names or program titles.
  3. Select any past program to begin playback.

Live Stream Access : Select the channel name (rather than a specific program) to view the current live broadcast directly

Program Start Playback : Click on any currently airing program to jump to its beginning and watch from the start

Return to Live : Click the Go Live button to return to the current live position of the broadcast

Playback Mode Selection : Switch between the provider’s Catchup stream and your local cache-based Time Shift as needed for optimal viewing experience
