Sports is a dedicated dashboard for sports enthusiasts, aggregating live scores, upcoming schedules, and league-specific data from ESPN.

Viewing Features

Live Games Search

The Sports page provides integrated search functionality on match cards in both the Live Now and Upcoming tabs, enabling quick access to available broadcast sources:

Search Teams : Opens the search interface with both team names pre-populated, allowing you to browse all available channels and manually select your preferred broadcast.

Show Search Results : Displays matched channels directly on the match card, enabling one-click access to the broadcast without navigating away from the Sports page.

In-Page Streaming

Click the Stream Icon next to the Sports header to pin your current live stream directly onto the sports dashboard. This allows you to track scores across multiple leagues while never losing sight of the action—similar to the EPG view.

Team Channels

Team Channels lets you link teams to specific channels so you can watch a game with one tap — no searching each time. Open the Team Channels manager (from the Sports page or Sports settings), pick a league, and link channels to teams.

Each team link has one Primary channel plus optional Backup channels:

+ Add Backup — add more channels to the same team; backups are used when the primary fails.
Set as Primary — promote any linked channel to primary.
Autoswap dead streams — automatically switch to the next backup stream when the current team stream drops or stalls.

Auto-link Teams

Instead of linking by hand, Auto-link teams scans your playlists and proposes matches for every team in a league. Configure per-league settings:

Matching Strategy — Full Team Name (city + team, highest accuracy), Smart Match (full names plus distinct nicknames with city-conflict protection, default), or Team Nickname Only (broad).
Playlist Sources — restrict matching to specific sources, or all enabled sources.
Category Filters — target all categories, sports only, or a selected subset.
Min Confidence — 50% (loose) through 90% (strict), default 70% — filters out suggestions below the match score.
Channels per Team — 1 (primary only) up to 5 (all candidates), so multiple matches are easy to assign as backups.

Run the scan and review the results in the Suggestions panel, where each match shows a confidence percentage. Accept matches as Primary or Backup, accept per-team, or Accept All + Backups. Teams can also be linked manually, unlinked individually, or Unlink All per league.

The Live Games Sidebar is a tab on the right edge of the main screen with a pulsing live dot and the count of active games. Click it to slide out a drawer listing every Live Game, filterable by league. Clicking a game lists its available streams from your playlists — or opens the full search if none are found — so you can jump straight into the broadcast while keeping scores visible.

Background Stream Search

While the sidebar is open, ynoTV pre-searches streams in the background for every game that is live or past its start time. Searches run one at a time through a serialized queue (starting after a short startup delay and once channel sync is idle), so opening a game shows its streams instantly instead of waiting for a live search — and the queue stays out of the way of your other actions.

Personalized Experience

Favorite Teams

You can follow specific teams to have them appear prominently in the Teams tab:

Navigate to the Leagues section.
Select your league and find your team.
Mark them as a favorite to track their progress throughout the season.

Hub Settings

Access the Settings gear within the Sports page to customize your view:

Display Preferences: Toggle which leagues and stats are shown.
Auto-Update: The “Live Now” page automatically refreshes every 30 seconds during active games to ensure scores are always current.
