Integrations

ynoTV connects to your favorite media services so your watching activity follows you outside the app — scrobble progress to Trakt or Simkl, show what you’re playing on Discord, and pull subtitles from OpenSubtitles.

Settings → Trakt connects ynoTV to your Trakt account for scrobbling and browsing your Trakt library.

  1. Click Connect Trakt Account — ynoTV generates a device code and verification URL.
  2. Go to the URL on any device, enter the PIN code shown, and authenticate.
  3. ynoTV polls for verification automatically and confirms when you’re connected.

Live scrobbling

Automatically send watched status and playback updates to Trakt while viewing — start, progress, and completion are tracked as you watch.

Resume Watching

In-progress movies and episodes from your Trakt playback history.

History

Items you’ve watched, with series deduplicated to your latest watched episode.

Once connected, you can add Trakt content as browsable catalogs inside Stremio mode and Nuvio mode. Open Configure Trakt Strem Catalogs or Configure Trakt Nuvio Catalogs to pick which sections appear:

  • Your Library — Resume Watching (in-progress items from your playback history), History (everything you’ve watched), Watchlist, and your custom Trakt lists.
  • Enable or disable each catalog, reorder them, and choose whether they load before or after the add-on catalogs.

Settings → Simkl scrobbles your movie and series watching progress to your Simkl profile in real time.

  1. Click Connect Simkl Account — ynoTV requests a PIN code.
  2. Open simkl.com/pin and enter the code shown (the code expires on a countdown).
  3. The page updates automatically once you’ve authorized, and confirms the connection.

Then enable Live Scrobbling to automatically send watched status and playback updates to Simkl while viewing. Disconnect Simkl Account removes the link.

Settings → Discord Rich Presence displays what you’re watching on your Discord profile — title info, a live progress bar, and show posters. It requires the Discord desktop app to be running.

Turn on Show on Discord to start broadcasting, and fine-tune the presence:

  • Hide the title — show “Watching something” with no show name or poster.
  • Show while paused — keep the presence visible when playback is paused.
  • Show while browsing — display “Browsing ynotv” when nothing is playing.
  • Show poster — reveal movie/show artwork (off keeps the title but hides the poster).
  • Show elapsed time — display the live progress bar.

Settings → Subtitles & Audio → OpenSubtitles Integration lets you log in with your OpenSubtitles account and download subtitles via OpenSubtitles directly in the player’s subtitle modal.

  1. Enter your OpenSubtitles username and password (create an account if you don’t have one).
  2. ynoTV logs you in and shows your username plus your allowed downloads per day.
  3. When searching for subtitles in the player, OpenSubtitles appears as a provider.

You can also set OpenSubtitles (or SubSource) as your Default / Preferred Subtitle Provider so the subtitle search opens with your favorite service first.
